|
PURPOSE The primary purpose of the championship is to promote the 3 main rally organizations* in Mexico and to unite the rally racing community to further grow the sport in Mexico. A secondary purpose is to provide incentives for racers to showcase their results and success for their sponsors and respective brands. |
POINTS PROCESS
Championship Points are applied to overall motorcycle and UTV finishers of each of 3 recognized rally races in Mexico* and will not be differentiated across amateur and professional categories. “Overall finisher” is determined by lowest total elapsed time, regardless of standings in subcategories, and ranked in order for up to 20 ranked finishers of each event. |
REGULATIONS
The Championship recognizes 3 distinct rally competition events*, each with its own distinct sets of rules and regulations. The Championship, in determining the champions, simply observes the published rankings of common categories of finishers of each event and applies the respective points earned by each finisher using the POINTS TABLE. |
ELIGIBILITY To be eligible for The Championship, a motorcycle or UTV racer must be a finisher of at least 1 of the 3 named events* for 2019. Rally car racers, GPS Explorer participants and recreational “tour class” adventure/ overlander participants, whether being timed or not, are NOT eligible for The Championship. |
RESTRICTIONS
Points will NOT be combined or accrue for competitors who finish any of the 3 recognized events* in different categories. For example, a competitor who earns points in the motorcycle category will not be eligible to combine those points with successive event points they earn in the UTV category. Only “drivers of record” in the UTV category are recognized as “finishers” and awarded respective points. For example, a driver who earns points as a driver, may not earn successive points as a co-driver or navigator. Whether or not any of the 3 recognized rally competition organizers allow for driver or co-driver substitutions is not material. |
SCORING |
PRIZE MONEY |

|
